Interesting article although I’m not sure what it is about; I am thinking FTPs are what I consider to be web-sites where there is an exchange of information between the client and the server. The article discusses the means and limitations by which the information is exchanged. The article “FTP: For the People” is on the Webmonkey’s website: http://webmonkey.com/02/36/index4a.html .

John – your blog looks great. FTP, is the process of transferring files, from one location (ie, your computer) to a remote location (ie, the server where a website is hosted).
Remember, websites simply sit on large computers, called servers. The servers have space, and serve up the websites when someone visits the site.
FTP, is the process of moving files from one location to another. Hope this clarifies things for you!
